There are a couple things that I don’t like dropping a lot of money on. Sunnies are one those things. They get ruined so easily. Having a toddler who constantly wants to play with your pretties doesn’t make it easier. So for today I am giving you some options for affordable sunglasses.
One Of My Fave Accessories
I have just recently been introduced back into this fun accessory. As I started getting older, it was becoming more of a struggle to wear contacts. Now that I get to play around again and am in love with all of the trends.
What do you think of when you think sunglasses? Most will probably say summer. My eyes are so sensitive to light though. You will catch me sporting these trends all year round! There are so many different styles on sunglasses this summer, so it is super easy to to grab a pair (or two) and stay on trend.
Why Chose Affordable Sunglasses Over Name Brand
Like I mentioned previously, I think sunnies are one of those accessories that get destroyed so easily. Even if you invest in a hard case, I just can’t see paying hundreds on a pair of sunglasses. You can get a really good looking pair for so much less than the name brands. Plus, they may even last you just as long. The most expensive pair of sunglasses I own are actually a prescription pair of aviators. I was only able to get those because my insurance covered most of it. In the end I think the total I spent on them was $60!
If you have been around for a while, you may have picked up that I love to have options. Since I’m not a Kardashian (thank God!) I can’t afford to drop lots of mula on several different pairs of sunglasses. No one is going to know you only spent $10 on a pair. And when they say they love your sunglasses, and you mention how affordable they are, they are going to be going out and getting there own pair!
My Top 3 Trends ATM
So out of all of the different trends for sunglasses, here are my top three. First, I really really love the mirrored/reflective lenses. I love how mysterious they are. I wonder what the eyes of the person wearing them looks like. Also, am I the only that likes looking at the reflection when people take photos in these to see all the stuff in the person’s room? I’m not very big into retro styles, but the cat eye’s are my second fave this summer. They give just a little nod to the 50’s and I love it. Mix a pair of cat eyes with either rose gold or pink lenses and I’m done! My last pick isn’t exactly something that is new. A classic aviator will always be in style. Aviator sunnies or just one of those timeless and chic pieces that will never go away and I’m totally fine with that.
My Recommendations For Affordable Sunglasses
Here are ten affordable sunglasses I have found for you. They include my top three styles, plus a couple others styles that are also on trend this summer. Which is your fave? Let me know if you like to invest in sunnies or if you are like me and stick to more affordable pairs!
