Pull Over Piece Three Ways: Part Three

Hello again beauties! Welcome to week three in our pull over piece series. To recap we styled the Torrid pull over top for casual wear in week one. I styled it with tall boots and a scarf. You can check out that look here. Week two we took the piece to work. An A-line print skirt not only made this piece work friendly, it also transitioned well to dinner after work. Bonus! For a second look at that outfit, you can click here. In this last installment, I will be showing how I style this piece for a girls night out, or date night look.

 Girls Night/Date Night

Immediately I knew I wanted this look to include a motto jacket. I got this jacket on sale a few years ago at Lane Bryant. Only recently have I been adding this piece more and more in to my wardrobe. This jacket is faux leather with a diagonal stitch detail along front and has a peplum bottom. I have short arms so most jackets tend to be long in the sleeve. This hasn’t been hemmed yet, so I just cuff and scrunch the sleeves up to my elbows. I like wearing my jackets more with the sleeves pushed up. They don’t feel as stuffy in my opinion. You can shop similar jackets from Lane Bryant.

A new love in my fashion life is boyfriend jeans. I don’t know why I waited so long finding these amazing jeans! The relaxed feel is what I love the most. Jeans like these can easily get a lot of wear for the dollar. They can styled the way I am styling them here. A classic tee with an oversized cardigan and some Kedds would make a great outfit. The next item on my purchase list a classic white pair of Adidas with the black stripes to pair with my boyfriend jeans.

The boots are a new purchase. I received some gift cards to DSW for Christmas and was able to snag these awesome peep toe booties. Even though it is winter out, you can still rock a peep toe boot. These boots have a little bit of a western nod with stitching around the top and up the sides and a slough. It’s a stack blocked heel measuring 3 1/4″. This means that even though there isn’t a platform in the toe, they are still comfortable and easy to walk in. They are currently available in navy, grey and taupe and can be purchased here.

Accessories

This floral statement piece from Bauble Bar completes my look. It too is a newer item and I knew I wanted it to be in the look. Because of the size of the necklace I didn’t want to go overboard with earrings and bracelets.  It is a beautiful piece and knew it would hold on its own. I also like how the delicate floral and rhinestones bring a touchy of girly into a more edgy look. A nice clutch would be a perfect complement for your night out look.

I kept my eye makeup more on the neutral and subdued side, still opting for the browns and pinks that are my comfort zone. I am going to be challenging myself to get more and more out of this comfort zone so I will playing around with different smokey eye looks. A bold red lip tops off the look. Of course, I went with a matte red lip.

So that does it beauties for the series. I hope you have had as much fun as I have! Hopefully you have been able to get some ideas and inspiration through these posts. I would love to know if you have found items in your wardrobe that you have been able to get more use out of.
