About a month or two ago I was introduced to a new clothing resale site, CurvyCo. I was intrigued from the start! This resale site is strictly for curvy woman sizes 10 and up. I was lucky to be able to be one of the first people to post my items for sale on the site. You might be asking What’s the big deal? For me, I like having something all my own. The majority of the clothing companies in the world are specific to straight size woman. Here I can go and shop for gently used, some times even brand new items, and not worry about having to sift through thousands and thousands of items that I couldn’t even consider.
This resale site was founded just this year and focuses on the fit of the items. Curvy ladies understand that just because an item is our size, it doesn’t mean it’s going to fit right. My curves aren’t the same as another’s curves. Because of this, it is important to know if an item is going to work with or against our bodies. Another plus, the company is also the very first “community market place for curvy woman.”
How It Works For Buyers
It doesn’t matter if you want to sell or buy items from the site, it’s super easy. If you are looking to add some new pieces to your closet, just create an account and shop! All transactions are done through PayPal, so you will need to set up an account if you don’t already have one. The buyer also pays the shipping costs, just like you would shopping from any other retailer site.
How It Works For Sellers
For those that are like me and have WAAAAAY too much stuff, you can easily sell your items. Take some photos, try to get a couple wearing the garment if you can, and upload them to your profile. You will fill out some information about the item like brand, size and condition. Since CurvyCo really emphasizes fit, try to be as detailed as you can about the way your item fits. The company takes a 10% commission fee, which is the lowest rate on the market, and then PayPal has their fee. Once you receive the message that an item has been purchased, you can ship the item with whichever carrier you desire. You will see a spot at the top of the message where you can send the tracking number to the buyer.
The company currently has over 500 items for sale and every day new items are being adding. I know I still have a bunch of things I need to upload! you can click here to check out the FAQ’s for CurvyCo if you are still unsure. Want to check out my closet, click here!
