Channeling My Inner Melissa McCarthy

I wanted to challenge myself to do something a little different. A lot of times I look at photos of other plus size woman, especially models, other bloggers, and celebrities, and think that I would never be able to look like that. Melissa McCarty is an amazing woman. She has crossed the threshold from tv to the big screen to fashion, all while not looking like every other woman in Hollywood. I love her style but I really love her personality. My love for her started WAAAAY back in the days of Gilmore Girls. As I started looking through photos of her online I was worried I wouldn’t be able to replicate her look without purchasing an item from her clothing line. While I would love to have some of her pieces in my closet, right now it isn’t the budget. When I saw a photo of her from The People’s Choice Awards in 2016 I knew I could pull it off.

For this look I went with the blush chiffon top from Eloquii and black glitter front leggings from Torrid (could be more glitter on these for me so that it pops more). Now I don’t have any trophies to accesorize my look, so instead I opted for this awesome color block clutch and these pink statement earrings both from Charming Charlie.

I would love to know if you have outfits inspired by someone, and let me know how you think I did!

    1. Thank you! Pink is one of my fave colors but I don’t actually own that much of it. Now that this blush is a Spring trend color I am definitely going to have to up my game!

  1. YOU totally wore it better! So pretty girl! I love sienna millers style and always try to replicate her outfits. I am always so nervous I wont be able to pull it off, but I try to stay confident in the fact I really love what I am wearing.

    1. Haha, thanks! I don’t think I know who Sienna Miller is. Sometimes I have issues remembering celebrities names without seeing their faces, or vice versa!

  2. Uhm, I can’t believe how well you pulled this off! (Actually, I can.) You make the every day girl look like a celebrity, and I absolutely love that about you and this post. I think that’s amazing that bloggers can show this is possible for all girls. You are just stunning… <3
